SHAPE+ Early Career Researcher Network
Connecting people, sharing ideas and shaping healthier futures
The SHAPE+ Early Career Researcher (ECR) Network brings together researchers developing their careers across air pollution, health and related disciplines. It provides a space to build connections, exchange knowledge and contribute to research that supports cleaner air, better health and reduced inequalities in Scotland.
Air pollution challenges require different perspectives. By connecting ECRs across environmental and social sciences, health, engineering, urban planning and economics, we aim to encourage collaboration across disciplinary and institutional boundaries.
Through SHAPE+, early career researchers will have opportunities to:
- Build connections with fellow ECRs, established researchers and stakeholders across policy and practice.
- Share their research and exchange ideas through network activities, research updates and blogs.
- Shape research priorities by contributing to discussions about emerging air quality and health challenges.
- Contribute to shared outputs, including evidence reviews, policy briefs and the SHAPE+ position paper.
- Develop future collaborations that respond to practical needs and support their research careers.
Our ambition is to support a connected community of researchers who work with stakeholders to ask relevant questions, communicate evidence clearly and help translate findings into action.
